The Road Less Traveled to Lavasa

It was just another weekend coming in where the traveler inside was simply hoping for more holidays to wander off into the wilderness while the human had to adhere to the society and stay grounded and come back to the 4 walls of an office the following Monday.

So the location was decided ‘Lavasa’. All the Mumbai and Pune folks know the place very well for it’s curvy roads and usually head there to scrape their knees and click some instagrammy pics.

As it was an impromptu ride it had to be a solo ride. The route was finalized Mumbai – Tamhini Ghat via NH17 – Tamhini Lavasa Road – Lavasa.

Not much of a writer. Will let the pics and videos do the talking.

The ever green NH17

One of the best things about traveling in Maharashtra is being able to get hot and crispy snacks along the roadside at every nook and corner.

To summarize the ride it was the perfect getaway for the Sunday. With a mix of new roads, bad roads, getting lost, being stuck in unknown locations without any help while being low on petrol, meeting new folks.

Can simply say travelers and bikers are the best folks to interact with as it’s always easy to make friends and they would always welcome someone new to be a part and enjoy the journey.
